Life Coaching is not Counselling
So what is it anyway?
Many people seek out therapy or counselling because their internal pain and external stress have become unmanageable and they need tools to cope.
Individuals who seek out coaching are often hungry for expansion and are looking for tools to push themselves and their goals forward.
Coaching is a powerful tool that can help you gain a better understanding of yourself and help you to become more confident in what you truly want out of life. Whether it be a more purposeful career, work-life balance, increased self esteem, healthier relationships or total reinvention — you have the power to make it happen. And I will happily act as your guide.
As a life coach, I will cheer you on & help you remain accountable to yourself. We will delve into some of the barriers (or self sabotaging) that are keeping you from achieving your goals. During each session, you will be provided with homework that will help you to set “micro goals” towards YOUR bigger picture. By thinking introspectively, you can design the life of your dreams, and together, we will find creative solutions to the unique challenges you face along the way.
1 -What “BS” do you believe?
Your mind is like a computer and it’s running programs all the time. If you are living on autopilot, then you may not have a clue what viruses, pop-ups and cookies have been implanted in the background of your mind. Negative belief systems or “BS” are ingrained in us from an early age and many are not serving our highest good. When you become aware of what belief systems you have inside yourself, then you can expose the ones you do not want and download an update.
Here are some example of what I'm talking about:
- No pain, no gain. (I'm sorry, why can't things come easily & effortlessly?)
- You don't deserve: happiness, healthy relationships, security (low self-esteem is a real bitch, but you can overcome it)
- Money doesn't grow on trees. There is never enough (scarcity is a very slipperly slope. There's always enough to go around)
- If you truly go after what you want, you will let everyone down. There's no security in blazing your own trail. (Where there is a will, there is a way!)
- Everybody who is supposed to support me just shits the bed. I can't count on anyone but myself (but did you notice how people who you never expected came out of the woodwork to help during your time of need?)
💡 Turn on the light in a dark room
Most of our beliefs are unconscious, which means we’re not aware of them. So how can we remove them? By turning on the light! I’ll help you get to the root of your “BS” and together, we’ll start drafting a new blueprint for your life — one where you are in charge of the design details.
2 - What is your algorithm feeding you?
Hear me out. I’m not a woke guru or anything. But I’ve been paying attention to my thought patterns for 20 years and I believe they absolutely DO form your reality. What you are saying, listening to and feeling every day MATTERS. Your life (like your devices) is listening and responding to YOU. It’s giving you more of what you’ve been putting out there (and the algorithm will not decipher what’s wanted or unwanted). If you pay attention to forming healthy thought patterns, you can most certainly change the way your life looks and feels.
3 -The hamster wheel only allows you to chase your own tail
What’s the definition of insanity? Oh right… Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.
If you keep yourself so busy that you never stop to look at what’s really eating at you, or feel what your body is saying, then you’ll end up burned out, in fight/flight and eventually sick with dis-ease. Trust me. I’ve been there.
North Americans put way too much value on “Doing” over “Being.” We grind so hard that we are willing to leave our most important asset behind (your own precious ass)! We put so much pressure on ourselves to run our entire household (then resent others for it); work too much (relationships take a hit); eat on the run (who has energy to cook?); and put ourselves last (I don’t even know who I am anymore!). Here’s the ticket though - You can do less and have more.
You can ask for help. Things can get better. You can find yourself again. If you put all that grinding, hamster-wheel energy into what lights you up, you’ll be revitalized, feeling positive and life will be better before you know it.

4 - Follow the path of joy!
Investing in yourself is a gift that will provide dividends far into the future. When you’re lit up, you can change the world in ways that far exceed your own reach. You will start to trust that life has your back. And the right answers, people and circumstances will unfold for your greatest good.
When you follow the path of JOY - you cannot fail. Joy is your compass and it will always lead you home.
